Haileybury is only 30 mins from central London by WAGN train direct from Kings Cross and 45mins by car. The nearest airports are London Stansted and London Luton, followed by Heathrow then Gatwick. We offer airport pick up service from Stansted and Luton.

By Eurostar

The Eurostar terminal is at Waterloo Station. From there, take the Northern line underground train to Kings Cross Station, then follow Rail directions below.

By Air

NB: Ryan Air and Easy-Jet normally offer the cheapest flights from Europe to London Stansted and Luton.

There are two ways of getting to GNSH from the airport:

By Rail:

There are two main railway stations close to Haileybury. 1) Hertford North from London (Moorgate or Kings Cross) is a 35-minute journey. 2) Broxbourne from London (Liverpool Street) is a 35-minute journey. Hertford North is then a 5-minute car/taxi ride from Haileybury and Broxbourne is 10 minutes away. There is a taxi rank just outside Hertford North station. >>click here for local taxi details.

By Road: (for those without GPS - Sat Nav!)

Haileybury is situated between Hertford and Hoddesdon, about 20 miles north of central London, and is conveniently located close to the A10 Cambridge Road and easily accessible via the M25, A1, M11 and A414.

From South Essex, Kent & Areas South of London:


Follow the M25 from the Dartford Tunnel and leave at junction 25 to join the A10. Follow the A10 northwards towards Cambridge and exit at the Hoddesdon junction. Travel to the first roundabout, take the first exit left and after a short distance to the next roundabout turn left again to join the Hertford Road, B1197. Travel for 2 miles, passing under the A10. From the South West & Areas West of London (Heathrow):

Travel via the M25 clockwise and leave at junction 25 to join the A10. Follow the A10 northwards towards Cambridge and exit at the Hoddesdon junction. Travel to the first roundabout, take the first exit left and after a short distance to the next roundabout turn left again to join the Hertford Road, B1197. Travel for 2 miles, passing under the A10. From the North:

The approach is either via the A1 and on to the A414 at junction 4, or via the M1 to junction 7 and on to the M10 and finally the A414 to Hertford and Hertford Heath. Use the >>maps from here.

From the East & East Anglia:

1) from the East via the A12, M25 to junction 25, A10 north to Hoddesdon (see instructions From Kent & South of London) or the A414 via Harlow to Hertford (see instructions from the South West & West of London). Use the >>maps from here.

2) from East Anglia via the M11 to junction 6, M25 to junction 25, A10 north to Hoddesdon or from Suffolk the A14, A11, A505 to Royston, A10 south to Hoddesdon (see instructions From Kent & South of London). Use the >>maps from here.
