MR CHAZZ YOUNG
(Special Guest)
We are extremely proud to host, all the way from Las Vegas, America, for the very first time at GNSH, Mr Chazz Young.
Chazz Young, is one of the great Tap and Swing dancer performers from the hey days, but is also the son of the late and great Lindy Hop pioneer ‘Mr Frankie Manning'.
He started dancing at the tender age of 8, but by the age of 12 his mother took him to see his Father Frankie Manning perform and from that moment he was hooked.

He continued to improve his dancing at the Mary Bruce Dance School in Harlem.
At the age of 17, Chazz was introduced to Norma Miller, by Frankie, as she was looking for dancers to join her troupe, Norma Miller and her Jazz Men. They travelled to perform all over the world, including London, Hong Kong, USA and Australia to showcase Lindy Hop, Authentic Jazz and Tap dancing.
Since then, Chazz has continued to dance, perform and teach Lindy Hop, Tap and Swingcopations all over the world, bringing joy and happiness to all who attends his classes.
We have personally experienced this many times, throughout his travels to the UK and Europe. Since the 90's it was a standard feature and amazing treat at key dance camps, to see Chazz perform with his father Frankie Manning.
Chazz will be focusing on his speciality of Tap and Authentic Jazz at GNSH, but don't miss this opportunity now, to spend time with Chazz and any special formal or informal talks shared by Chazz Young and Norma Miller about the heydays.
This year we'll have two Giant legends under one roof at GNSH 2012!
Don't miss it. |
